The National Association of Eco-Friendly Salons & Spas™ is the first association in the United States designed to build a community of environmentally friendly, socially responsible salon and spa owners.

Its purpose is to be the source of information, presented in an organized format to assist those who are concerned about the impact their salon or spa has on the environment. The NAEFSS Sustainability Certifications provide standards for build-out, operations and maintenance for eco-friendly salons and spa.

About Us–really refers to YOU, our members. Our goal is for the community to connect with each other, like-minded business owners, sharing thoughts, ideas and success stories. We have started something great, our members make it awe-inspiring!

Tamara Jercha, is a Sustainability Consultant as well as the President & Founder of NAEFSS, She has studied environmental processes for commercial interiors, achieving LEED* Accredited Professional status.  Using her experience in the salon industry as well as her knowledge in building commercial interiors Ms Jercha created the first and only Salon & Spa Sustainability Model, standardized and suited specifically for the salon & spa industry.

Ms. Jercha holds an MBA in Sustainable Business, a Bachelor Degree in Business, majoring in Marketing, as well as a degree in Interior Design. 

She is a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals, US Green Building Council, and Cosmetologist Chicago. Licensed since 1985, she understands how the salon professional works in front of as well as behind the chair.
